You hitchhike a lot. What attracts you to this option besides cheap?
Cheap hitchhiking is a wrong concept. Hitchhiking is not a way to save money, but an opportunity for deeper communication with local residents. I visit not places with restored sights, five-star hotels and English-speaking guides, but small villages, where they know nothing about tourism yet. I live with the locals, eat like them, work with them. Fully immersed in their lives, and not just visiting for a “tick” or beautiful photos. Continue reading
Marrakesh is not only one of the largest cities in the Kingdom of Morocco, but also a peculiar symbol of this state. The fact is that the toponym “Morocco” is the wrong Spanish pronunciation of the name of this city. >At the airport, we warmly said goodbye to Juan and flew to Lima. Paradox, but the flight instead of the planned two hours took a little more than an hour. In Lima, we again “reunited” with Ukrainian friends and the plane of the Chilean airline, LAN, flew to Fr. Easter. Upon registration, two more Russians were identified – a married couple from Surgut. As a result, “Russian invasion” was noted on Pashi Island. Usually it is visited by 1-2 people from Russia per month. Continue reading
